Our Procurement Section has developed to meet the significant challenges facing procurement in the Fire Service. An opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated team as an Assistant Buyer.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;You will support our Buyers / Contracts Managers in the processing of contractual tenders and quotations and in making recommendations for purchasing arrangements. You will be responsible for collating all information relating to function and contract performance. Ideally, you will possess or be studying towards full membership of CIPS, with demonstrable experience within a purchasing environment.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;To fulfil this role you should possess excellent communication skills as you will liaise with both suppliers and customers and you should be able to operate under pressure.
