Ethical Framework For Members

The West Midlands Fire and Rescue Authority has complied with the following requirements under Part III of the Local Government Act 2000 (as amended). It has:

  • set up a Standards Committee with an Independent Chair
  • adopted a Model Member Code of Conduct
  • established a Register of Members’ Interests
  • ensured that all Members have given a written undertaking that they will be bound by the Code of Conduct
  • established a local assessment process for dealing with allegations of breach of the Member Code of Conduct

Both the Register of Interests and the Code of Conduct are available for public inspection during office hours at Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury.
