Our Expertise…

The Quality Assurance Team at the Academy is the principal provider of qualifications within the West Midlands Fire Service.

All the team are trained professionals and experienced in Firefighting, Learning and Development, Assessment and Verification, Business Administration and Customer Service. Their professional service is available to support employers who wish to train staff in their vocational area.

It is our aim to help individuals to help achieve their goals and provide a high quality training service to their customers.

The Quality Assurance department is an approved and accredited centre for Edexcel and OCR and offer the following National Vocational Qualifications up to Level 3…

  • Business and Administration NVQ
  • Customer Service NVQ
  • Learning and Development Level 3
  • Learning and Development Level 4
  • Assessor Awards
         Unit 1 – Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment
         Unit 2 – Assess Occupational Competence in the Work Environment
         Unit 3 – Assess Vocational Skills, Knowledge and Understanding
  • Verifier Awards
         Unit 1 – Understanding the Principles and Practices of Internally
         assuring the Quality of Assessment
         Unit 2 – Internally assure the Quality of Assessment
         Unit 3 – Plan, allocate and Monitor work in own area of Responsibility
  • Business Skills up to Level 3
  • Team Leading up to Level 2
  • Advice and Guidance Levels 2 and 3
