

The Academy First Aid Trauma Management (FATM) Training Team offers a
selection of training courses which allow us to ensure your requirements are fully met. The Academy’s bespoke FATM training facilities and modern training equipment enable realistic simulation and ensure organisational and individual training needs are met.
The instructional team are qualified to IHCD Ambulance Technician and have attended an Advanced Trauma Life Support course and hold nationally recognised teaching qualifications. The instructors also hold Pre Hospital Trauma Course (PHTC) qualifications and actually teach on the course. Additionally they hold qualifications issued by West Midlands Ambulance Service. The team have a vast amount of operational experience to draw upon to assist in the delivery of training to ensure we meet our customer’s requirements.
The Academy FATM team are involved in several working partnerships with West Midlands Ambulance Service and University Hospital Birmingham. This enables us to ensure our training is current and up to date and all the latest protocols are followed.
The department has HSE approval to deliver First Aid at Work and Emergency First Aid at Work to ensure that legislative requirements are met and are able to deliver advanced trauma training to Fire and Rescue Services and in line with National Occupational Standards.
