Our aim is to provide fire safety education to children across the West Midlands and to raise the awareness of the dangers of fire, particularly in the home.
We have a range and programmes and initiatives supporting this goal. Our proactive work includes:
Our primary focus is Key Stage 2 school children, however we have a range of resources available for other age groups.
We have also produced a Special Educational Needs pack, where firefighters work with special schools, main stream schools with special needs groups, day care centres, activity and parent/carer groups and hospitals. For more information please download the information sheet at the bottom of the page.
Also available, is our recently updated, Nursery Box, which contains a range of materials for pre-school groups, again an information sheet is available at the bottom of the page
For further information on any of our educational resources or services please contact West Midlands Fire Service Educational Advisor Jo Malyon by email: joanna.malyon@wmfs.net
