Who Does The New Law Apply To
The law applies to virtually all premises and covers nearly every type of building or open space.
It applies to any place and includes:
- Offices
- Shops
- Factories
- Care Homes
- Hospitals
- Churches (places of worship)
- Village/Community Halls
- Schools/Collages and Universities
- Pubs, Clubs and Restaurants
- Sports Centres
- Tents and Marquees
- Hotels and Hostels
- Warehouses
- Shopping Centres
The law does not apply to private dwellings including individual flats in a block or house. Laws for these premises can be found in housing legislation
